What Is The Cause And Treatment For Atrial Fibrillation?

My brother s heart campacity is 20% as of today. He has also been diagnosed with A Fib. He had open heart surgery 8 yrs ago and had valve replaced & 2 blockages. Is it a possibility he could have a blockage that would cause the heart campacity so low? Does he need to have a catharization done at this time?

There may be some reason for the low cardiac capacity and low cardiac output. To list some are :

Muscles get weak if they have low blood supply due to artery blockage.
Atrial fibrillation is a cause of improper heart pumping functions.
Walls of chambers of heart become thick and filling of heart becomes less efficient.

Consult you cardiologist to rule out these causes.
