Hi I ve havery BV and been on metronidazole for 5 years, normally two courses a month I took last corse 11th December 2014 and again 19th Dec it has not cleared up I have woken in the night with hot sweats ,Ive woken with bad pains in legs swollen ankles and fingers with pins and needles I went to the hospital last week as my belly has now swollen and is uncomfortable the hospital has told me not to take any more metronidazole and to see my doctor to have my coil remove but she said I have to take them cause she can not remove whilSt I have the infection so I m concerned that they have caused me other problems
