What Is The Cause And Treatment For Enlarged Prostate?

It has been confirmed that I ve an enlarged prostate. My Doctor put me on a capsule daily of Contiflo 400 since June last yr. It has been wonderful. The two major worries of urgency to urinate and poor flow of urine have gone drastically. I wake up at night once or twice as against 4 or 5 times. I attempted stopping taking the drug BUT after 3 days of withdrawal the urgency, frequency and weak flow of urine suddenly returned. Sometimes I experience backpain and dizziness. And with or without pain reliever it goes away. At what level do I stop taking the drug ? Is it a substitute for surgery?

Enlarged prostate is problem of age and happens in almost all male patient after 60 years of age. Enlarged prostate compresses urethra and leads to decreased urine flow and urgency. Contiflow relaxes internal sphincter and helps in relieving symptoms. It will help till it us taken and once stopped symptoms will return. It's not alternative for surgery . Definitive treatment is surgery in form of Trans urethral resection of prostate ( TURP ). So visit expert urologist and get yourself examined and get this done for permanent relief.
