Hello, My father is 59 years old and every night he has a difficulty in falling asleep and if he fell asleep, a sudden chill or shake wakes him up and he can t go to sleep again I hope you tell me what the reason is and how to solve it thanks in advance
Hello thank you for writing us here. Nocturnal awakening could be caused due to anxiety. For treating it, I would suggest benzodiazepine sedatives which are good sedatives and would help to improve the condition of your father. You can buy Flurazpam which is available with brand name NINDRAL or FLURAZ 15mg capsule taken at bed time. It would cause sedation and also in day time it can cause little sedation. He have to take it for 10 days and he would get better sleep. God bless you and your dear father.
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
