What Is The Cause And Treatment For Irregular Menstruation?
I am 24 now. But always i have irregular menstrual cycle. I get my periods varying form 1 month to 3 months. Generally from 2 to 3 months. I have already went for doctor. But all was normal. My doctor gave me medicine then it was normal at 28 days for three months then it was same again. My height is 5 feet. My weight is 52 kg. There is no problem in my health too. The only thing is irregular period. Is it normal ? Please suggest me.
I share your concerns. Little variations in periods is common as it is related to hormone levels in body. However in your case it is varying significantly, a cause of worry. Since you had normal periods by medications, as a treating doctor I would advise you to take medicine few more months so that it may become permanently normal. In case of failure I go for hormone study, ultrasound of uterus, blood work up (anaemia) to come to a definitive diagnosis. And then go for required treatment.
I would like to advise you to visit gynaecologist in your area for proper assessment and treatment.
I hope i have clarified your queries. Please provide feedback. Do write for follow up queries. I wish you good health. Thank you.
