What Is The Cause For Frequent Urination, Itching After Positive Culture? On Antibiotics, Had Unprotected Sex

Hey I went to the gyno a few days ago because I had vaginal discharge, urge to pee and foul odor. So she did a culture and said I had BV and prescribed me a antibotic. The urge to pee is still a problem but now im having a tingling feeling after urinating. And it's kind of itchy.

Note I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend a day ago. And he was kind of rough.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for frequent urination, itching after having unprotected sex.

It can be sign of any infection in the genital tract and inside urinary tract or vagina and cervix. It can be due to fungal infection of the area known as candidiaisis or due to recurrence of bacterial vaginosis too. Even many a times it is seen that due to injury by the intercourse and then secondary infection as your boy friend had been rough in the intercourse.

You can wait for 3-5 days in which the irritation due to vigorous sex become alright. If it persists even after 5 days then you need to go for thorough check up rule out for the exact nature of problem and any infection in the local area.

Till that time avoid sexual intercourse or any manipulation to prevent further secondary infection.

Always have safer sex by using condoms to prevent any type of sexually transmitted disease.
