What Is The Cause For Having Sharp Pain In Upper Left Leg?

Hi, Thank you to helping me. I feel I have sharp pain in my upper left leg when I woke up in the morning for the past few days. I have to move a few time of the left leg to the pain to ease up a bite before I can get up. Once I got up, I can walk without any pain. After breakfast, I then went to one hour exercise class without any pain for the rest of my day until I woke up again first thing in the morning. Please tell me what is the causes of the pain in my upper left leg. Thanks. Louisa

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The sharp pain in the upper left leg that eases up on moving is likely to be due to a muscle stiffness or a sprain in the area. You can take rest, do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel over the area for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
