What Is The Cause For Irritating And Itchy Fordyce Spots?
I have Fordyce spots and relatively sensitive skin, and have noticed over the past couple of days, my Fordyce spots have become more irritated and itchy and a couple began to look like white heads but quickly went away, they also have hair growing out of them. This has never happened to me before. I recently have been sexually active with my girl friend before not having sex for over a year. I'm wondering if friction from sex and sweat can cause irritation of these Fordyce spots?
Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query in detail and understood your concern.
Fordyces spots are just the glands of our body that become more obvious and prominent.
They are totally harmless structures and have nothing to do with sexual activity.
If they are bothersome to you, you can get them removed from dermatologist by radiofrequency or laser.
But you need not to worry at all for these fordyce spots.
This is my personal opinion. You may discuss it with your doctor, i hope she/he will agree with my opinion. If you have further query, you may ask me.
Good luck.
