What Is The Cause For My Hair Thinning And Slow Growth Of My Nails?
In the past 3-4 months I ve noticed my hair thinning quite a bit and in the last month realized my fingernails arent growing or if they are its very slowley. I m a male, 55 years old a smoker with no known issues. Whats going on? Email address is YYYY@YYYY
I can understand your concern for hair thinning and slow growth of nails. Hair fall can be due to any long term illness or any emotional or stressful event and due to nutritional deficiency or hormonal influence.
I can make out that you are male and after stress and nutritional dysfunction it is quite common to get hair fall because of change of nutritional and hormonal status.
If I were your dermatologist then would have prescribed you tablet containing Acetylcysteine, Calcium Pantothenate, Selenium, Zinc, Biotin, Copper as active ingredients. You can take these vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes.
I suggest you to stop smoking so that the damage to skin as well hair can be reduced.
Take care.
