What Is The Cause For My Heart To Skip Beats While Doing Physical Activities?
When I begin to do something that involves my heart to speed up like cleaning or walking up stairs .. it feels like I loose my breathe for a second but I can feel my heart skip a beat , so I check my pulse to see if it happens again and it does .. I can feel normal heartbeats and then I feel a strain of breath and it skips .. I'm only 16 and I'm pregnant what could this be?
Most of the time, the peculiar complaint of a skipped or more forceful heart beat from time to time is due to e benign cause, either a premature atrial contraction (PAC) or premature ventricular contraction (PVC); if it is a PVC, the beat following tends to be more forceful since there is a compensatory pause to "restart" the pace again. It would be worrysome if you would have persistent symptoms, but if they only last literally seconds this is likely the cause.
Hope that helps, wish you the best,
