Dear, I had a D&C procedure done 6 days ago due to missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and for the last couple of days I felt fine and did not take any painkillers. However this morning I woke up with sharp pelvic pain, feels mostly on the right where my ovary is. I have no history of cysts or endometrIosis. Is this normal?
There will be mild pain because the uterus has expanded its size up to 9 weeks. Now since the uterus has been emptied, it will try to come to its original size to attain its normalcy. Hence, you will have slight pain during that time as well as some discharge. The pain should be where the uterus is. Take some painkillers if it is not tolerable or it disrupts your routine. If the pain persists, kindly consult your gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
