What Is The Cause For The Pain In My Daughter's Upper Right Chest After She Got Over A Stomach Virus?

My daughter just got over the stomach virus... threw up 13 x over a 4 1/2 hour period. Yesterday and all day today she is complaining of her upper right chest hurting? I know her muscles are sore from the vomiting, but should we be concerned enough to have her checked to see if a rib head popped out of place or something. She said it stings and its hurts to breath.

No the rib cant pop out due to vomiting however such retching and vomiting can sometimes cause a tear in the esophagus and lead to a pneumothorax. The pneumothorax can cause such type of stingy pain and difficultbreathing
Get an Xray chest PA view in complete expiration to get an idea and see a chest physician
