What Is The Cause Of Bleeding When Treated For Monarc Sling?

Hi I had the Monarc sling done on me on the 28th January. On the 10th of Febuary my husband to me to the Emergency with bleeding I was reseased that after noon when the bleeding had stopped the next day I had an ultra sound the results came back clear.I started to bleed again on the 15th and again today I m only bleeding for a couple of hours and its bright red. What does it mean.

Hi,
I understand your concerns. Monarc sling can cause vaginal bleed due to vaginal wall damage. Locally the area needs to be checked for any protrusion or displacement of the sling . If the bleeding continues you might have to get it removed. Contact us with any further queries.

Pubovaginal slings like Monarc are for Stress or any other type of incontinence. Now the episodes of bleeding might be trauma or laceration or derangement of bleeding profile.Any how it needs an urgent visit to ER and let them stop bleeding emergently.
