Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

The problem of yours is not related to spondylosis. The pain in the lower part of the ribs is due to the acidity itself and even the burning sensation in the throat is secondary to the above condition. This happens when the acid from the stomach regurgitates into the throat, burning the mucosa of the throat and thus causing inflammation of that area. This condition of yours is called Laryngopharyngeal Relux. You need to take the necessary medicines such as Proton pump inhibitors to reduce the production of the acid and prokinetics to prevent the reflux of the gastric contents.

More over, you need to follow the preventive measures such as avoiding spicy/oily/chilled food & beverages/coffee/tea/smoking/stress/alcohol.

Wish you good health.

Regards
