What Is The Cause Of Dizziness When There Is A Change In Position While Sleeping?

I have been experiencing a type of light headedness and dizziness. The dizziness is more severe when going from a change in position while sleeping. The light headedness is all the time kind of like a woozy foggy feeling. I am a 34 yr old female, just quit smoking a month ago. Dizziness has been occuring for months. How do I clarify the difference of vertigo or something more severe....

Dear user,
Thanks for using health care magic.

From the available description it appears that the dizziness is more a kind of benign positional vertigo.
The other possibility is withdrawal symptom of tobacco smoking but slightly less chance as you are having these symptoms while you were smoking.

You need to meet your ENT specialist and he will probably run some tests to tell you the exact cause of your dizziness.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks
