What Is The Cause Of Joint Pain And Weakness After Thyroidectomy?
i have had a thyroidectomy and two carpal tunnel surgeries in 3 months time. I have graves disease and went into a parathyroid storm after my thyroidectomy, I am not experiencing severe joint pain through out my entire body down to the bones in my feet. I am also very weak......do you think just stress on the body....calcium deficiency again...low magnesium? I had these surgeries so close as I had met my deductible and Obama care was coming.
I think your joint pain is mainly because of calcium deficiency. Parathyroid hormone is important for calcium absorption. ....deficiency of this will obviously lead to calcium shortage in body.
Kindly get your blood PTH and Calcium (totsl & ionic) levels measured. Get a complete Arthritis panel blood test done.
Further management will depend on blood reports results.
I hope my advice has helped Good luck
