What Is The Cause Of Mucous In Stools In A Baby Which Is Breastfed?
my daughter in law has a 3 months 3 weeks old baby girl, she notice mucus in her stools on Thursday and Sunday, she is breastfeeding, she took her to the dr. today and was told it could be lactose intolerance, virus or a serious problems like her stomach can be turning , is it possible that it can happen??, is it the stomach or the intestine that can be damage

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I must say that possibility of protozoa infection is likely, and in my opinion the stool examination has to be done to ruled out this possibility if found something indicative of infection then it should be treated with the proper medicine, this is nothing to worry, have a nice day.
