What Is The Cause Of Mucous In The Stool?

Hi dr. My 4 months old daughter is passing stool with some blloody kind of mucous on it Today. this is not the first time though. We experienced it couple of times before also and we did stool test (one week ago) and test said that Pus cells 2-4 hpf.We went to see the paed. also and he said that these kind of stool is normal for baby. So what are the possibilities for this kinds of bloody mucous stool. She is completely on Formula.(Nestle Good start with Omega 3)

Blood stained mucous means the child might be having amoebiosis.Repeat stool examination . Improve hygiene of child in food and water. With precaution stool examination report have a second opinion from pediatric specialist.
