What Is The Cause Of Purple Rash On The Thigh When On Synthroid?

I have a faint purple rash to the back of both thighs and inner thigh. Started when synthroid was changed to levothyroxine. I am since back on synthroid but rash remains. It also causes a delay in cap refill. No pain but burns at time. No scaling or peeling

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You have given a precise description.
Change of drug might not have caused persistent rash.
As you mentioned there is delay in capillary refill also, hence its better to get bleeding time clotting time and platelets level checked.
That purple discoloration might be a bruise.
Please apply thrombophob ointment,
This will help in faster relief.
A photograph would have helped me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
