What Is The Cause Of Red, Itchy Swelling On The Face And Lips ?

I am suffering from severe allergy . I get swelling on my face , lips . Sometimes red spots appear, swell and itch and the swelling remains for quite a few days. Is this because of allergy? How do I avoid all these problems?

Yes, your symptoms are due to an allergy. Try and identify the allergen with a patch test. This test would be done at a routine laboratory. Please see your GP for the same
If the allergen is identified, avoiding the allergen will be of utmost importance. Till then, you can avoid it by taking tablet cetrizine 10 mg once daily.
Also, you should keep an epinephrine shot with you to take care of emergencies. The symptoms of emergency would be difficulty breathing, itching , chest or abdominal pain.
