What Is The Cause Of Soft Scab Or Skin Over The Stitches On The Lower Lip ?

I got one stitch inside my lower lip yesterday morning at 3am in the hospital. It is a dissolvable stitch. I swab the area with mix of water and hydrogen peroxide and am on penicillin for 5 days. Now, there is either a soft scab or skin over the length of the black stitch inside my lip. Should I be worried or is this part of the mouth s healing process?
