In mid-November 2013, I developed a stutter out of nowhere. I am 46. No stroke, negative CT. Two weeks later I was diagnosed with Tardive Dykinesia and hospitalized for HTN, still stuttering. The TD was caused by Geodon and/or Promethazine which is taken for nausea due to my chronic pancreatitis. I was diagnosed with that in May 2010. For the TD I was given Cogentin and Clonazepam, for the HTN I was given Atenolol but removed due to other side effects. 2 weeks prior to the stutter, I went through a 5 week sinus infection that started with a severe ear ache on my left side. Psychiatrist says TD doesn t cause stuttering, neurologist said it did in my case (the Cogentin et al have the TD under control mostly but the stutter is still present). Speech pathologist has labeled it drug-induced stuttering and is using breathing therapy to try to treat. Here is my list of medications, daily. My question is, could any interactions of any of these have caused/exacerbated the stutter Pancreaze Cimetidine Vicodin Morphine Cogentin Clonazepam Lamictal Tamsulosin Zofran (Atenolol and Lipitor cancelled 2 weeks ago due to fatigue, dizziness, memory loss)
