I went in for surgery last week Tuesday. I have a large bruise that started on my wrist and is now half way to my elbow. It is tender to touch so I am wearing my watch on the opposite arm. My boss just looked at it and she said that it is swollen, warm to the touch and it looks like my vein exploded. I am anemic and bruise easily. The nurses had difficulty finding a vein that day. I thought it would go away but everyone thinks I should go to the hospital. What could be the cause of the bruising and should I see a doctor?
