What Is The Cause Of Vaginal Itchiness With White, Chunky Discharge?

Hi I'm 17 years old. I have a problem with itchiness in the vaginal area and there is a little bit of a white chunky discharge. I'm kind of scared. I did do some research and it says that it's Yeast infection. However, I'm not really sure if it is. I have had intercourse and it is protected intercouse, of course. Please help? What should I do? Oh and I also somewhat told me mother about this. I just told her that it itches and she told me to wash it with this feminine soap. If I do wash it, will it cause any problems?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You are right.Probably you are suffering from yeast infection.
Only local hygiene is not sufficient. You have to take medicines.
You can deeply insert tablet Clotrimazole(for vaginal use) 100 mg in vagina at night for six consecutive nights.
If symptoms still persists ,you should consult your gynecologist.
Hope i have answered your query.

Take Care
