Hello..Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Jigar(ID Specialist). Yes this is hemoptysis and it should not be neglected. There are many causes of it ranging from minor illness to malignancy. However it is equally important to look into whole clinical picture. It would have been really helpful if you had provided your age, other symptoms along with cough, any such previous history or other chronic disease, any habbits like smoking etc. Though this appears to be mostly due to bronchitis it needs confirmation by chest examination and radiological reports.
