What Is The Chances Of Pregnancy When On Birth Control Pills?

Hi there, So my girl told me last night that she s pregnant and has been 4-5 weeks along already. But this is what s weird. We had sex 3 weeks ago and that s the last time we ve had sex in the last 2 months. What s even more weird is she was supposibly on birth control and I was wearing a condom. So I m not even sure how this is even possible or how it could even be mine. Please help! Thanks, Ryan

Hello,

First of all if you people had an intercourse 3 weeks ago, how can she be 4-5 weeks pregnant. It is absurd and it may not be yours in the first place. Coming to oral contraceptive pills, they are almost 91- 95% effective if used regularly as prescribed. She should have missed the pills or she may not be pregnant. An ultrasound imaging and blood test to confirm pregnancy are necessary. You need to take her to a gynecologist for detailed examination and confirmation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
