What Is The Correct Diagnosis And Treatment Of Partial Seizure ?

My father(56yrs) is diabetic and hypertensive patient..An episode occurs during which tremor ,convulsion,froth from mouth and vocalisation occurs.This is occuring intermittently since 1 year.Dr has diagnosed it as complex partial seizure of extra temporal origin for which he is taking oxcarbazepine(1050mg in divided dose) andclobazam(10mg).Despite this his condition is deteriorating.Some drs r suspecting any cardiac problem.According to holter report LBBB is present.yesterday he undergone status epilepticus ..what to do?What is his correct diagnosis..Please show us right path.ITS URGENT......................from,Tulika,MBBS final year student,MMCH,west bengal

Hello Tulika,Welcome to HCM,
You must get your dad to consult a Neurologist with a view to a EEG and a n MRI scan of the brain to get the diagnosis confirmed. As you know good control of the Diabetes and Hypertension is also necessary.One a diagnosis is established, treatment becomes necessary for a long time .
