What Is The Cough After Coming Off Ventilator For Heart Failure?
My grandmother had a pacemaker placed incorrectly...and basically it sent her into heart failure..tampanode. After coming off the ventilator she went back to coughing which is aggravated by talking. She had this cough prior to the ventilator and it has returned. She is in Afib/Aflutter and they are now regulating her heart rate with meds. The cough just won t quit and they don t know what it is.
In cardiac tamponade may cause insufficient oxygen supply to the tissues lead to hypoxia and cough. In case of severe tamponade need drainage of fluid from pericardium. Other possibilities like pulmonary edema or pneumonitis or asthma. Please get it done chest xray, electrophysiological study, 2D echo and complete blood picture. Please review with reports with your doctor.
