Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
You are about to mention is Frenulum not
Fimbriated fold of tongue.
The lump in the
frenulum of tongue is usually due to Infection.
Very rarely it can be a cancer in frenulum of tongue.
At this age, it may not be a cancer.
As you have the
Canker sore and
gingivitis in the mouth, it is probably due to the infection.
It also indicate that you may have any of impaired immune syste, nutritional problems, such as vitamin B-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency; and gastrointestinal tract disease, such as
Celiac disease and Crohn's disease.
Avoid the foods that irritates the sore.
Brush with a soft-bristled brush after meals and flossing daily, which will keep your mouth free of foods that might trigger a sore.
If the sore persists more than three weeks or month, it is necessary to evaluate the cause like immune system, vitamin deficiencies etc.
Hope this helps.

Wishing you good health.
