Period ended on Oct 1st, started spot bleeding on Oct 10th. When use restroom more blood comes out than on pad. Feeling tired, dizzy and slight headache. Not sexually active, has been 7 years. Have used tampon on last period for a few days, regular cycle.
This can be age related. After mid thirties the cycling mechanism can be less precise and irregular cycling is common in forties, up until menopause, the final menstrual period. But lots of other things can affect the cycle such as thyroid dysfunction. There can also be mechanical issues such as uterine polyps. Your local physician or Planned Parenthood can obtain lab work, follow you to see if an ultrasound or office sampling of the lining of the womb (endometrial biopsy) is needed if this persists. There are many inexpensive medications to regulate the menstrual cycle if no underlying problem is found and these are age related changes.
