What Is The Cure For Enlarged Adenoids In Toddlers?
Hi Dr. nkbr> My son is 2.3 years old he got enlarged adenoids since 7 months. He does not have normal breathing while sleeping. Hes with poor appetite, less weight 10.5 kg.
I wanted to know if surgery is okay at this age. Also I searched in google many says it grows back after surgery. Please let me know if surgery is the only solution.
I think you can wait for some more time and ask your doctor to consider antibiotics and steroid sprays for the enlarged adenoids as it may help. If the symptoms dont resolve in another 2-3 months , then i think you can go ahead with the surgery as it will affect his growth and development. There is always a possibility of recurrence, but this is not common and you should follow your doctors advice. Thanks
