What Is The Cure For The Breathlessness And Coughing Having Diagnosed With Pneumonia?
I have been diagnosed with pneumonia and they gave me azithromycin which i finished 2 days ago. I went back to the clinic and they said that it didnt work as i still have weazing and irregular breathing and coughing but i have to wait until it is out of my system to try another antibiotic. That takes me to Saturday. I am supposed to go on a business trip next week that involved a 2 and a bit hour flight each way. is it safe for me to fly with this?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your problem and situation. In my opinion you should avoid travel with such symptoms. Because you are not completely cured of pneumonia. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Repeat chest x ray 2. Sputum culture and sensitivity. Repeat chest x ray is needed to know whether pneumonia is worsening or not. Sputum culture will identify the causative organism for pneumonia and sensitivity report will guide us in antibiotic therapy. This approach will prevent haphazard use of antibiotics, as haphazard use of antibiotics lead to delayed recovery and increased drug resistance. So better to first start appropriate treatment for pneumonia and get cured from it , then plan your travel.
