hello, my mother is suffering from liver cirrhosis, we are giving her proper veg. diet and medication and she has started showing signs of improvement. She is vegetarian and our doctor has prescribed her non veg pretentious diet which she refuses. is it OK for her or we should obliged her to take non veg.
hi dear, don't worry your mother's diet is absolutely right and she is getting improve. so continue your doctor's medications and diet. give her small fish, small chicken, pulses, green cocoanut water, glucose water, vegetable juice, double toned milk, hand made bread and may add protein powder as a food product, such as powder protinex, 1 table spoon full with warm water, twice a day. restricted foods are oil, oily food, rich food, drinking. use reduce amount of salt and water. your mother will recover soon. wishing her good health.

Vegetarian diet is adequate. There is no need to take non-vegetarian food if she is a vegetarian. If she has developed complications like accumulation of fluid in the abdomen and legs, then she has to take salt restricted diet.
