What Is The Difference Between Cipralex And Paxidep CR?
good eveninng Dr.Mimi, I changed my doctor and the doctor changed my medicine , I was taking cipralex10 and petril .5(once daily) , and the present doctor prescribed me paxidep cr 25 mg and Lonazep.5, thrice daily. would you please tell me difference between cipralex and paxidep cr Pranab
Escitalopram (cipralex) is superior compared with paroxetine (paxidep), which has a less favorable tolerability profile. Paroxetine is associated with cholinergic muscarinic antagonism and potent inhibition of CYP2D6, and sertraline has moderate drug interaction issues in comparison with escitalopram. Hence, escitalopram is better to use than paroxetine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
