Hi,

Lasix (furosemide) is a loop diuretic ('water pill') commonly prescribed to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, liver disease, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome. Whereas Dytor Plus is a combination of two diuretics Spironolactone and Torsemide. It is more potent than Lasix hence preferred in the treatment of resistant edema associated with congestive heart failure, liver disease or nephrotic syndrome. Consult your treating doctor to review the prescribed medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
