Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Difference Between Dytor Plus And Laxis?
I am a mitral stenosis patient .I feel better if I takeDytorplus. But the dr. Prescribes laxis. My feet become swollen in spite of taking lasix. But the dr. Prefers lasix than Dytor plus. What is the difference between Dytor plus and laxis. Why lasix is not working for me
Lasix (furosemide) is a loop diuretic ('water pill') commonly prescribed to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, liver disease, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome. Whereas Dytor Plus is a combination of two diuretics Spironolactone and Torsemide. It is more potent than Lasix hence preferred in the treatment of resistant edema associated with congestive heart failure, liver disease or nephrotic syndrome. Consult your treating doctor to review the prescribed medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
