What Is The Difference Between Epileptic And Non Epileptic Seizure?
I am confused on the type of epilepsy that I have. When I have a seizure . I have a small warning I tried to sit down. If I don t sit down in time I usually fall to the ground. I go into a blank and stare . My Eyes Are Fixed On One certain spot .my eyes are open the seizure last less than a minute I remember everything after the seizure I do not convulse at all. Before the seizure my brain feels kind of funny as if it were Jello sloshing around. I get a ringing in my ears.. do you think they are epileptic or nonepileptic just wondering in your opinion? Thanks
hi sir/madam, Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
Epileptic seizures occur when there are abnormal bursts of electricity in the brain. These bursts disrupt the brain’s normal function and lead to some loss of consciousness or impaired senses. Most adults with epilepsy experience partial seizures, which begin in a specific region of the brain. These seizures can result from:
Brain injury Stroke Brain tumor Diseases that affect the brain
Non-epileptic seizures appear the same as those from epilepsy:
Impaired or jerky movements Tunnel vision A tingling sensation in the skin Temporary blindness Other symptoms may also occur. However, with these seizures the central nervous system is not involved.
these are main difference.
Hope this info was helpful. stay healthy, stay safe.
