Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure spiked today (190/191) and I was light headed. After taking one Clonidine 0.1 at 11 30 am my blood pressure went down to 144/77. At 10:00 it has gone to 171/87. I am not as light headed as earlier today. Can I take another Clonidine this soon after the first one? Thanks
Clonidine is usually prescribed twice a day. If I have understood properly, you have taken a dose at 11:30AM and you want to take another dose at 10PM. I would not mind my patient taking it around 1-2 hours earlier than schedule but taking at regular intervals is preferred. I would recommend you to take the antihypertensive medications as prescribed and report to your physician with blood measurement logs. I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic. Have a wonderful day.
