Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! I used Estradot 100mg for several years. For the past 6-8 months it seem less efficient. My doctor prescribe Divigel .5 to 1mg to take the smallest quantity to relieve my symptoms. But it s been only few days and I don t seem to find the right ajustment. What is equal to Estradot 100Mg with Divigel?
Estradot and Divigel, both are estradiol gels. These are used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms in postmenopausal women. They differ in several factors like estradiol concentration and surface applications. They cannot be compared mainly on the basis of estradiol dose. No clinical studies are available on the comparative efficacy of both. Hence, the dosage in both cases is minimum effective dose and this dose is to be determined on the basis of their effectiveness in reducing or complete resolving the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
