Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, Recently i got married in April and after 1 week my wife had Seizure attack. my wife gone through MRI and EEG test but both report were Normal only cause is deficiency of Iron in body, had only 5.6 g blood Recently we visited Safdarjung docoter and he suggested Epilion (150 mg) medicine. But now we face new Neuro doctor (spl in epilepsy) and he changed medicine. he suggested Levipill 500 and as soon as my wife took that medicine she feel very tired, head becomes heavy and feel very sleepy. She have 50 Kg weight. Please suggest whether she is taking overdose or ok with present medicine or we change doctor?
but if symptoms of weakness doesn't disappear after some days, the medication needs to be changed. please ask your doctor to change medications if the patient is not happy with her medicines.
further you did not specify cause of such anaemia. anaemia with seizure need to be tackled carefully as many anti epileptics themselves cause decreased blood cells. she needs very active treatment for anaemia.
if your doctor did not prescribed any thing for correction of anaemia, I suggest you to consult a general physician (MD gen.med) for complete treatment.
