What Is The Dosage Of Nozuka Syrup And Kofarest PD Syrup?
My daughter is 6 month old with body weight of 10 kg. She is having fever. We are giving her Nozuka syrup (paracetamol 125 mg+phenylephrine 5mg+ chlorpheniramine maleate 1mg) and Kofarest PD syrup (terbutaline sulphate 1.25 mg + Ambroxol hydrochloride 15mg + guaiphenesin 50 mg). What is the daily recommended dose of these 2 medicines?
If no fever, she just need paracetamol alone- syrup paracetamol (250mg / 5ml) 3 ml 3-4 times a day. If she has cold and nasal discharge, give Nozuka instead (5ml 3-4 times a day). Kofarest need to be given only if there is wet type of cough (3ml 3 times a day)
If fever is not coming dow in 2-3 days, she develops breathing difficulty or becomes lethargic or not taking feeds, kindly take her to doctor for further management
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
