What Is The Dosage Of Paracetamol For A 1 Year Old?

Hi I was at the doctors tonight she gave me an antibiotic for my son he s 1years and 2 months and quite small the antibiotic dose was 5ml 3 times a day which I was told to start so I gave it to my son then received a phone call asking the strength of the antibiotic and told to give a 2.5 ml when I made her aware I d given the 5ml she simply said awk should be alright is this dangerous as he s so small for his age? And if so should I give less paracetamol the box says 5ml so should it be 2.5ml ?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The usual dose of paracetamol is 15 mg/kg body weight.
Paracetamol comes with the strength of 120mg/5ml as Oral Suspension.
The recommended dose for children with 6 – 24 months is 5 mL up to 4 times in a day. Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period and leave a gap of at least 4 hours between doses.
