What Is The Dosage Of Iodine Treatment After Having Thyroid Gland Removed Through Radioactive Iodine?

I have had my thyroid gland removed through radioactive iodine. The doctor is still monitoring my condition & may recommend another dose of the iodine treatment. On occasions, I do feel weak and experience pangs of hunger. What next doc, what will happen to me?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Don't worry.

Please share the thyroid function reports with e to answer your doubts. The treatment depends on your TFT.
Iodine treatment is needed for increased function of thyroid. It is effective in 90% of cases. If not effective your doctor may recommend you a second dose.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
