What Is The Effect Of Atrial Enlargement On Pacemaker Placement?
Yes, please. What effect would enlarged atria have on placement of a pacemaker? Would it determine shorter life expectancy? Does age affect whether or not ablation can be done? I am 79 years old and, I thought in relatively good health till now. I am in afib with heart rate in the 90 s. Thank you. Dolores at deekelly.1@verizon. net.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Complete abortion is indicated by complete stoppage of bleeding. If you had continuous bleeding after abortion & was followed by Femilon (hormone preparation) but still bleeding is not controlled, the cause might be incomplete abortion. ISG of pelvis would confirm it & should be followed by D&C procedure to achieve complete evacuation of uterus. Please consult your gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
