What Is The Effect Of High Sugar Levels During Pregnancy?
I m 31.5 week pregnant with unicornate uetrus and solitary kidney.....since 30.4 wk i hv been in hosp bed and my ob gave me steroids inj for baby s lung development as I hd labor pain cervix length was 1½ inch diff from baby s head....since then my sugar levels are high and I m on insulin as per my ob advice... Later at 30.3 week when my sonographer repeated the scan my cervix ws just 1cm from baby s head.....so my OB is asking me to remain in hosp bed till delivery Please advice sugar level effects on my baby and also advice whether it is wise to stay in hospital or can I go home for bed rest Thanks
Following are the effects of diabetes: - Large sized baby - Premature birth - Polyhydramnios (excess fluid inside uterus surrounding the baby) - Hypertension and its complications - Jaundice - Stillbirth I would advise you to stay in hospital as per the advise of your doctor.
