Paxil contains paroxetine which belongs to the group of medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) is an antidepressants medicine used to treat depression, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Plavix works by helping to restore the balance of a certain natural substance known as serotonin in the brain. Thus, Paroxetine, the antidepressants is the generic name of Paxil.
