What Is The Greenish Growth And Fluid Behind Ear Drum Causing Hearing Loss?

went to urgent care for loss of hearing for about 2 hours in right ear. urgent gave me a referral to ENT DR. Person said I have a growth real close to eardrum and a bunch of what they thought was fluid behind the ear drum.Boy friend was allowed to look in the ear with instrument and was freaked out he said it looked like a tumor, green and yellow in color that appeared to be open.

Hello,

Your symptoms could be suggestive of a cholesteatoma, which is a benign tumor growing in the inner ear.

A brain CT scan is necessary to examine better your inner ear. Surgery may be needed.
