Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i am having irregular period since last two months and when doc suggested me for hormonal test, report says that LH content was slightly more which stood at 13.41ml. My doc suggested me to take Novelon for 21days. I ve started taking it since 21st June and forgot to take one pill yesterday. Wuold there be any effect if I miss the tablet. Also what is the impact of LH level being more. Please advice. Thanks in advance
Usually, we do recommend to take the missed dose of Novelon as soon as you remember it although you might take 2 doses at the same time. So, better take the missed dose, plus the daily dose. In the following days, you should take the regular doses as recommended. If your LH levels are high, this means: - Lack of ovulation - You might have PCOS. So, the high LH levels should correlate with other clinical and lab findings. Keep regular follow ups with your gynecologist.
All the best. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
