What Is The Indentation Am I Having Under My Nipple?

While i did a breast exam, i noticed an indentation under my left nipple when i raised my hands. I believe i have had this awhile but never knew it could be serious until i looked online. I have no other symptoms. Everything feels normal. When i lay down, i cant see the indentation. If i have my hands raised and twist to the side, i see an indented line that goes to the back of the breast. I am 40 weeks pregnant and nursed my 18onth old until i found out i was pregnant with this child. I do have large breasts but everything seems normal that i can feel. Any suggestions? I am very anxious

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

If there is any lump, a fine needle biopsy may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
