What Is The Infusion And Dosage Process Of Fentanyl?

How is Fentanyl dosed for each patient? I have a relative who has been receiving 250mls over 24hr period and the syringe driver says range of 70-81 over a few days. However, having re sighted the syringe driver to another arm it now reads 26mls. I do not understand how this is calculated and my relative is extremely confused and agitated.

Hello,

Its dose is calculated in micrograms per kg body weight. You can not just give it to anybody in milliliters. This can be dangerous to anyone who is taking it without any proper dosing.

I suggest you to consult your doctor for its proper prescription and dosing according to his need and condition otherwise it is going to harm rather.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
