What Is The Itchy And Painful Lump Near The Knee?

I have noticed half an inch movable lump on the inner side of my right knee, about half an inch away from a knee cap anterior. It itches like once a day and when I touch and try to move it or massage it hurts just a little after touching it. What possibly could it be? Lymph node?

Thank you for asking!
This lump needs a little assessment and a dermatological exam. could be a lymph node but lymph nodes are rarely itchy. Could be a dermatological manifestation of some allergy or infection irrespective of etiology and a simple topical steroids and antihistamines should suffice. Rest assured seek help of a dermatologist for further enlightenment.
Take care
